Digital Resources in the Sciences from the Library

The Library website is the place to go for reliable, credible scientific information you can use in class assignments and research papers. We’re constantly adding new digital content. Check out the following online science resources for Palomar faculty and student:

Science Full Text Select New!
Take a look at our latest offering in a growing collection of reliable and credible sources of science information. Science Full Text Select offers full-text articles from over 400 journals in an array of STEM disciplines, including acoustics, botany, earth science, robotics and more.
 
The AND Evidence Analysis Library is a synthesis of nutritional research on important dietetic practice, including systematic reviews (developed by AND members).
 
Covers more than 180 full-text journals, and cover-to-cover indexing and abstracts spanning dozens of years for more than 230 journals and dozens of monographs. It includes indexing for all dentistry and oral sciences journals commonly purchased by dental schools and other related institutions.
 
Health Source 
  • Consumer Edition- In this edition, you can locate information on many health topics including the medical sciences, food sciences and nutrition, childcare, sports medicine and general health. Features searchable full text for over 190 journals, as well as abstracts and indexing for over 205 general health, nutrition and professional health care publications.
  • Nursing/Academic Edition -This edition offers nearly 600 scholarly full text journals focusing on many medical disciplines, and abstracts and indexing for nearly 850 journals.
INTELECOM is a hosted digital repository of academic video clips - streamed on demand, covering a variety of video collections including Biological Sciences, Oceanography, Health, and Environmental Studies. Videos may be downloaded and embedded in Blackboard.

JSTOR 
This contains full-text articles up to the latest three to five years (including historical backfiles) from thousands of core academic and scholarly journals in the sciences, math, and engineering.
 
Compiled by healthcare providers and researchers, the databases provides high-quality, evidence-based information about complementary and alternative medicine including dietary supplements and integrative therapies. Online CE courses for health-related professional are also included.

This is a searchable database of current information (up to 3 years) technology, programming, and business books and manuals.
This contains articles in over 1650 full-text scholarly and peer reviewed journals from one of the premier publishers of scientific journals in the physical, health, and life sciences.
